Magnesium hydroxide is a form of magnesium that has long been used to support the regularity of bowel movements. Unlike other stimulants, magnesium hydroxide helps bowel movement regularity by drawing water into the intestines to help increase hydration and volume of stool.
GI regularity is essential for a healthy gut. Constipation may disrupt the balance of microbes in the gut, promoting an unhealthy gut microbiome. An unhealthy gut microbiome can drive unwanted immune activity and associated health challenges.
